5 Local Spots To Shop For Organic Beauty Products
We all know that putting crap on your skin is, well, crap. But where on Earth do you get the good stuff on the Sunshine Coast?
In an area with more pharmacies than beaches (definitely not a fact), sometimes sourcing the real, purely plant-based, 100 per cent cruelty-free, certified organic beauty products is more like trying to spot a koala at Noosa National Park. Everyone says they’re there, but you can never quite see them.
Moisturisers, lipsticks, body scrubs, bronzers, cleansers, hand soaps, mascara, hair dyes, toothpaste, and the rest—here’s where you can find organic beauty products on the Sunshine Coast.
YUKTI BOTANICALS | NOOSAVILLE
Tucked in the corner at Belmondos in Noosaville is Yukti Botanicals. It may be small, but it’s packed with organic goodness—including skincare ranges by Mukti and Saya Skincare, to Inika makeup and Sienna Byron’s incredible nail polish range (seriously, their colours are like nothing you’ve ever seen). They also have a full suite of natural oral hygiene products and body deodorisers plus some baby goods. Best of all, the Yukti team are amazingly helpful and super knowledgeable about the products they stock.

KUNARA ORGANIC MARKETPLACE | FOREST GLEN
Kunara is by far the largest organic marketplace on the Sunshine Coast and their health and beauty section is in equal proportion. Shelf after shelf is lined with everything from makeup and skincare, to oral hygiene and hair care. There are also things to make you smell good, stuff to put in your bath, and the natural tools you need to scrub and exfoliate with. Oh, and don’t forget the hair dyes. You won’t find just one shade of henna at Kunara, no siree! Their hair dyes range from blonde to black and everything in between, so you can kiss the chemicals goodbye and say hello to a new look. Winning!

SAYA | NOOSAVILLE
You may be able to get Saya all over Australia but the Sunshine Coast is still home for this fast-growing, all-natural brand which is now becoming 100 percent organic. Their beautiful flagship store can be found nestled in Noosaville and it’s packed with a huge variety of purely plant-based skincare for all skin types. The Saya team know their stuff too, so when you drop in they’ll be able to recommend the right products for your skin—depending on whether you’re crying out for hydration, anti-ageing, rejuvenation, sun protection, or just for a daily cleanse that smells incredible. They also have a fantastic men’s range and a nifty luxe travel kit.

FLANNERYS | MAROOCHYDORE
At Flannerys, it’s all about the makeup selection. Sure, they’ve got skincare, a good range of oral hygiene, and lots of scrubs, but their makeup… Well, it includes an abundance of Eco-Mineral products which wisely comprises their vegan application brushes, a beautiful selection from Zuii (including lipsticks, ladies) and a smaller, but still splendid, assortment of LaMav products. It’s spread out all nicely too, with a hefty supply of testers so you can take your time finding that perfect shade of bronzer, eye liner, concealer, or lippy. This is one place where you can try before you buy.
