All Of The Best Markets To Visit On The Sunshine Coast This April

Another month, another calendar packed with markets.

If you asked us to declare what we love most about our neck of the woods, we’d undoubtedly say, with a smoothie in one hand and a basket in the other, that markets are definitely up there!

So, in honour of one of our fave pastimes, we’re rounding up all the best markets on the Sunshine Coast this April. But not before we impart one final bit of wisdom: go with an empty belly or you’ll suffer from a serious bout of food envy.

NIGHT MARKETS

Late-night shopping and eating = hell to the yeah.

Junction Twilight Market
Great for a delish and fast feed, this family-friendly market is smackbang in the middle of Noosa Junction and filled with food stalls and trailers. Keep this market in mind, if a stroll followed by plenty of street eats sounds like your kind of way to end the perfect beach day.
When: Friday, April 21, 5pm to 9pm
Where: Arcadia Street, Noosa Junction

Marcoola Market
It’s a Friday night and you’ve got no desire to cook dinner. But you’ve only got $20 in the kitty, so heading to your fave sit-down restaurant is a total stretch. So, what’s a hungry, not-keen-to-cook person to do? Two words—Marcoola Market. This gem, right in the heart of town, is on every Friday night and pulls together some of the best food trucks and stalls from across the Coast. NB: the word has spread and the food does sell out, so get here early to beat the crowd.
When: Every Friday, 4pm to 8pm
Where: 10 Lorraine Avenue, Marcoola

Havana Nights Markets
This newbie has recently popped up in Peregian Springs and is keeping the stomachs of market-goers happy on the 2nd and 4th Saturday night of each month. Kicking off at 4pm, Havana Nights Markets is the spot to be if a dinner of ice cream curls (just look at them) is your idea of heaven.
When: On the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, 4pm to 8pm
Where: 220 The Avenue, Peregian Springs

Twilight Markets Caloundra
Southerners who a) like sunset strolls and b) enjoying stuffing their faces with moreish street food, need to get their arses to Twilight Markets Caloundra. Held along the esplanade at Bulcock Beach, these guys have quite possibly nabbed the best waterfront posi on the Sunshine Coast. Start with a swim, go for a wander and a shop through the 100+ stalls, then head to 26 Degrees for a cocktail.
When: Friday, April 7 and April 14, 5pm to 9pm
Where: Bulcock Beach Esplanade, Caloundra

FARMERS

Naturally, producing all the yummy goods.

Noosa Farmers Market
Everybody has to go to Noosa Farmers Market at least once. Why? Because this sports carpark turned buzzing marketplace really is something else. Held every Sunday, it brings together ridic food and drink stalls (do NOT eat breakfast before you get here), fresh produce, local seafood, honey, and cheeses, plus way, wayyyy more. Let it be said though, that this market gets packed. As in PACKED, packed. So, wake up with those really annoying noisy birds—you know the ones—and aim to be strolling the aisles just after 7am to beat the rush. Yep, it’s early, but it’s worth it to be able to go at your own pace.
When: Every Sunday, 7am to 12pm
Where: Weyba Road, Noosaville

Kawana Waters Artisans & Farmers Market
If you like your markets minus the hipsterness, Kawana Waters market is as down to earth as they come. Held every Saturday at Kawana Waters State College, we suggest hitting a coffee stall for a steaming brew before filling up your netted bags with fresh produce, creamy cheeses, and everything picnic-worthy. Then, use this hidden picnic spot list to find the perfect posi to lay down your rug and brunch.
When: Every Saturday, from 7am to 12pm
Where: Kawana Waters State College, Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina

Yandina Markets
The real-deal country farmers’ market, Yandina is one of our faves to hit on a Saturday morning. Rock up with a bit of cash and you’ll leave with armfuls of super fresh produce, a few vintage finds for your home, and a hefty parcel of local meat. If this weekly market is known for one thing though, it’s gotta be their plant stalls. Herbs, natives, palms, indoor plants—you name it, it’s here!
When: Every Saturday, 7am to 12pm
Where: North Street, Yandina

Fishermans Road Markets
An oldie but a goodie, this Maroochydore market has everything you need—and plenty you don’t, but you want anyway. From fresh fruit and veg to plants and, of course, rainbow bagels, we love the no-frills vibe of this weekly gathering.
When: Every Sunday, 6am to 12pm
Where: Corner Fishermans Road and David Low Way, Maroochydore

Hinterland Harvest Market
Newish to the Sunshine Coast market scene, Hinterland Harvest Market is held every Saturday in Woombye. This farmers’ market has truckloads of local, leafy, tasty things to eat, so if you’re in charge of the BBQ salad this weekend, make sure you stop here.
When: Every Saturday, 6am to 11am
Where: 7/9 Kiel Mountain Road, Woombye

LIFESTYLE MARKETS

We live for cute market finds (mostly so we can boast about them to our friends).

MADE Market
If this market doesn’t sound familiar, it’s probably because it’s so new it hasn’t even launched yet. Opening for the first time on Easter Sunday, in conjunction with Ocean St World Festival, this monthly creative market will take place inside the Big Top Shopping Centre. Showcasing local and independent labels, brands, creators, photographers, and designers, MADE will then be held every second Friday night (4pm to 9pm).
When: Sunday, April 16, 10am to 6pm
Where: Big Top Shopping Centre, 12-20 Ocean Street, Maroochydore

Ocean St World Festival
Happening in place of this month’s Nights On Ocean, Ocean St World Festival is a mammoth once-a-year gathering of all things we love—culture, food, drinks, music, dance, workshops, and so much more! It’s on all day long, so after you’ve gotten over your morning chocolate coma, you know what to do.
When: Sunday, April 16, 10am to 10pm
Where: Ocean Street, Maroochydore

Peregian Beach Markets
More of a creative’s market than a foodie’s haven, Peregian Beach Markets falls on the first and third Sunday of every month. If you’re still struggling to spend your Christmas money from nan, then make this your new open-air shopping destination. Homewares, fashion, vintage knick-knacks… it’s all here!
When: First and third Sunday of every month, from 7am to 12.30pm
Where: Kingfisher Park, Peregian Beach

The Mooloolaba Collective Markets
Muse over local designers and dig your teeth into some damn delicious street food at The Mooloolaba Collective Markets. You’ll have no probs shopping like a hooligan from 8.30am to 12.30pm with the likes of macramé, all-natural beauty products, succulent displays, and so much more.
When: Sunday, April 9, from 8.30am to 12.30pm
Where: Mooloolaba State School, 15 Meta Street, Mooloolaba

Caloundra Street Fair
Over 200 stalls, live music, locally-made products and food stalls that are perfect for that Sunday hangover brekkie, Caloundra Street Fair is one of the best street markets on the Sunshine Coast. We can almost guarantee you’ll be walking home with an empty wallet.
When: Every Sunday, from 8am to 1pm
Where: Bulcock Street, Caloundra

Eumundi Markets
A tourist hotspot but still worth the write-up. The iconic Eumundi Markets are only for those that can handle crowds and never-ending lanes of stalls. Need an intermission? Duck across to Humdrum Espresso for a super smooth iced coffee or if it’s beer o’clock, a chilly brew at local institution, Imperial Hotel is your best bet.
When: Every Wednesday and Saturday, 8am to 1.30pm and 7am to 2pm respectively
Where: Memorial Drive, Eumundi

Cotton Tree Markets
Drop by Cotton Tree Markets to pick up a gift for that friend who just announced she’s having a last-minute birthday dinner this weekend. One of the longest running artisan markets on the Sunshine Coast, you’ll be very unlucky to walk away empty-handed.
When: Every Sunday, 7am to 12pm
Where: King Street, Cotton Tree
